Use Trap Drum Patterns with Clear Hi-Hats and 808s Trap-inspired hi-hats with rolls and stutters are essential. Combine them with punchy 808 bass lines that follow the melody's root notes. The drums should be crisp but not overpowering, providing groove without cluttering the mix. ## 4. Incorporate Vocal Samples and Playful Elements Lil Yachty often uses vocal chops or playful ad-libs in his music. Adding subtle vocal snippets or simple chants can give your beat personality. These elements should complement the instrumentation and not distract from the main melody. ## 5. Structure Your Beat for Versatility A typical Lil Yachty type beat has clear sections: intro, chorus, verse, and bridge. Keep transitions smooth, using effects like risers or filtered sweeps. This allows artists to rap, sing, or hype over the beat seamlessly. ## 6. Mix for Clarity and Impact Ensure each instrument occupies its own space in the frequency spectrum. Use EQ, compression, and panning to create a balanced mix. The 808 should be prominent but controlled, while melodies and vocals need to be clear and present. ## 7.
